Shopping List Mobile

a simple application to make lists of what you need to buy.

So that way, when you remember to buy something, you put it in the list, and when you need to remember what to buy, you just have to load the list.

Pretty basic stuff.

How to use
It's pretty simple. When you open the application, you’ll have a text box and some buttons. The Add button will add to the list what is written in the text box. The Remove button will remove the selected item from the list. The Clean button will clean the list. Then you have the Save List, Load List, Delete list and About menus. Those are pretty obvious.

How to Install
Run the CAB file from your phone.

Requirements
Windows Mobile 6 ( not tested with previous versions )
.Net Framework Compact 3.5

GPS receiver reset utility

a small utility to reset GPS receivers

"Sometimes GPS receivers (at least my Hamlet HBTGPS20) stop working correctely (no or unstable fix). Hamlet advice is to reset it using a desktop Windows program that they provide. Unfortunately, this requires a BT enabled desktop or laptop PC. Very unpractical indeed!"

It should work on any device with .NET Compact Framework installed and for any BT serial port GPS receiver.

Installation:
1 - extract the files from GPSReset.zip
2 - copy GPSReset.cab to your device
3 - run it, a shortcut to GPSReset.exe should appear inside Programs
or
2 - copy GPSReset.exe and OpenNETCF.dll wherever you want in your device (but not \Windows)
3 - create a shortcut to GPSReset.exe

Usage:
1 - check that BT is enabled and that the GPS receiver is on
2 - run GPSReset
3 - select the serial port and and the baudrate of your GPS receiver
4 - click the Open button and wait for the Reset button to become enabled (or for an error message)
5 - click the Reset button
6 - click the Exit button, that's it

Gen.Y DualBOOT

Dual boot solution for Windows Mobile devices with XDANDROID

This app is launched by a registry key created in [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\init], so it launches directly at boot after shell gets initialized.
Chefs: If u are going to cook this app into your ROM, make sure that this key gets added DURING your customization procedure (and not before!)

There are 2 checkboxes, enabling automatic boot:
AutoBoot: enabling this mode will automatically boot the OS of your choice after a 10 second countdown
> disabling autoboot will remove the countdown completely
FastBoot: enabling this mode will automatically boot the OS of your choice after a 3 second countdown (requires AutoBoot to be enabled first)

Now apart from these 2 checkboxes, u have 2 radiobuttons, which allow u to choose which OS gets automatically booted.

And last but not least, u have the 2 manual launch buttons. Pressing these buttons will directly launch (overriding autoboot) Windows Mobile or Android.

Registry
Gen.Y DualBOOT checks for 5 registry keys, which allow some form of customiation. Apart from the last key (StorageBootMode), all keys can be modified utilizing the radio & check buttons in the GUI. All of these keys can be found in:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Gen.Y\DualBOOT]
Here's quick list describing what the keys are for
"AutoBootEnabled"=dword:1 (1: enable autoboot | 0: disable autoboot)
"FastBootEnabled"=dword:0 (1: enable fastboot | 0: disable fastboot)
"AutoBootAndroid"=dword:1 (1: boot Android | 0: boot Windows)
"StorageBootMode"=dword:0 (1: boot from Storage Card (SDMemory) | 0: boot from Internal Storage (moviNAND))
"AndroidBootFolder"=dword:0 (1: boot from \Android\ folder on storage (e.g. \Storage Card\Android\haret.exe)| 0: boot from root of storage)

The example values are the ones that are in the CAB for Internal Storage devices.

EatMemory

a small application which uses the native Win32 API to allocate as much memory as it can (up to 2GB), and verifies it.

Notes:
This application is designed to test the limits of your device's memory. In particular, to test if the HD2's additional 128MB is actually usable or not.

This application will attempt to allocate as much memory as it can, OS limits notwithstanding. The application allocates memory in the OS's shared memory space, which means that it isn't privy to the usual 32MB address space limit.

Because the application isn't limited to 32MB memory usage, you don't need to run multiple instances to consume your memory. Just one instance will do.

This application does not use .NET, and instead uses the direct low-level kernel memory management functions (VirtualAlloc and VirtualFree) to reserve, commit, and free virtual pages. This means that the application has much more precise control over memory, and can consume memory until only a couple of megabytes remain.

This application verifies the memory it allocates, by writing a byte pattern to the memory, and reading it out again. This is necessary because the Windows CE kernel does not commit pages to physical memory unless the memory page is read/written from at least once. This also guarantees that the memory is, in fact, usable and valid.
