OS Remind Me v1.2

Reminds you of Unread SMS or Missed Call Notifications.

Intervals for the alert is at 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, and 15 minutes.

The cab file will install the application in your \Program Files\OS Remind Me\ folder

Requirements:
WM5 - WM6.1 PPC

v1.2 changes:
- added vibra option
NOTE:
i used OpenNetCF API for the vibration. It calls on the Led notification of your device to cause the vibration. But not all devices have the same Led index to vibrate. So you have to click on the "Vibrate" menu item and see if your device vibrates. If not, increase the number shown by the textbox by increments of "1" then test the vibration again.

v1.1 changes:
- fixed reminder not playing when backlight is off
- changed UI
- user can now change the reminder sound through the application menu

Download CAB File v1.2

Hello,

Nice application, is it possible to make it vibrating also???

Thanks

yes i'll add the vibrate option in the next release. I also found a bug wherein the reminder doesn't play the sound if the phone is in sleep mode.

I see 1.1 is out now, does it have vibrate in it? The only thing keeping me from switching from DontForget to this is vibrate.

oops, i'll add the vibrate later on and will post it as v1.2. Either today or tomorrow :)

Good work .. You can hide a autostart from Win 6.1 and change ring for SMS and phone? Bye

i tried to change reminder tones..i can only see the one that comes with it...other tones i have don't seem to show up on file. when i search through my ringtone file i see everything.

Hi oldsap! Love the app. Can you make it to where it won't play the tone on the first alert. That way it will only play later. I have a tone for my text messages, pic messages, etc. Would be nice to have this sound set different, so I know it's a reminder. Can there be an option for this?

Does the application continue to "remind" if the phone is in silent profile?

Hello...Do you have plan to support moto q9 or samsung i600 ?

Have just installed it on my HTC Touch Pro, I pressed the Hide button, now how do I get the program back, to change settings, as its not listed as a running program and reclicking the file doesn't restart it?

Its a neat application. Would be good to auto start program and be hidden so that application will not be terminate when we stop all other apps.

Great app. Thank you so much. This is exactly what I was looking for:

I would only ask for two more features:

- No tray icon.
- Autostart in the background.

In the meantime, is there a parameter I could add to the app shortcut to make it minimize to the tray (like when tapping on "Hidden" option)?

Hi, I'm using WM 5.0. Unfortunately this app is not running. Can you help me?
Thanks a lot

Hi,

my question ist: How to stop the alert tone, when I begin to read the missed sms?
Coause it is playing on and on, until the wav ist over, thanks!

Awesome program - no idea why M$ left this function out when every single other phone on the planet has some sort of reminder function built in already! My only complaints: the program does not check to see whether you are in a call before playing the notification. In the case of vibration, this is quite annoying when you have the phone to your ear! Also it would be nice if it checked the ringer style/mode to see if it's in silent/vibrate mode and NOT play the wav file if phone is currently in a quiet mode. Oh one other small thing - i often forget to load osremindme when i power cycle the phone - any way to make it auto-run every time?

Hey, is there any reminder program out there that actually STOPS reminding once the missed SMS has been read?

This is the 2nd one I've tried....

I wonder if there were ways to remotely backup SMS and MMS files?

You can sign up for free with Microsoft My Phone. It's syncs calendar, contacts, pics, and text messages with your phone. It keeps an online archive and if you delete something off your phone, you can log in and send it back to your phone.
