SIGLOG
WM App that measures/logs gsm signal strength
Written in Win32 C++ it's lean, mean, rather basic, but it does the job. It requires a phone with GPS, as it calls the Microsoft intermediate GPS driver.
Once it is running, it checks the GPS and phone status every 5 seconds. If the signal strength has changed since the last reading, it writes a record out to \SIGLOG.TXT in the root directory of your device, in the format:-
Latitude,Longitude,Signal Strength,Mobile Country Code, Mobile Network Code,Location Area Code, CellID eg.
0.000000,0.000000,090,0EA,0F,00CF,0000E66C
In this case the 090 is the signal strength, 0 to 100

Msm7kCpuSpeed
Overclock Raphael/Diamond/Topaz/Rhodium/Blackstone/Whitestone
Supported devices
- Raphael
- Diamond
- Rhodium
- Topaz
- Blackstone
- Whitestone
- More?
Features
- The CPU speed is calculated from the actual clock registers, not via some dll or shady method.
- CPU speed is updated every 250ms (I haven't seen it auto-scale to other frequencies yet, but kept this feature from LeoCpuSpeed).
- A small dot blinks on each update so that you can see if your device hangs or not.
- Under- or overclock by moving the slider
Notes on overclocking
1) AT YOUR OWN RISK
2) Only works while connected to AC power
3) The "604MHz" OC frequency is a special one. Only with this frequency set, you can remove AC power without having a lockup. So: after you overclock and want to remove your USB cable, set it to 604MHz first! You'll see it go back to the default 528MHz a second after you remove the cable. That's something the device does, not my app.
4) Overclocking while on battery gives insta-hang (for me).
5) "Apply at boot" is disabled as under- or overclock would hang at boot.
When using TCPMP to benchmark the overclock, be aware that this tool overclocks the CPU, not the GPU.

Kheb
File system and registry discovery tool
Introduction
Kheb allows you to see exactly what changes any software makes on your Pocket PC. It works by taking complete snapshots of your PPC's state, and creating a diff file that shows the changes between snapshots.
Kheb is a useful tool for software developers, ROM chefs, and advanced users.
Examples of useful stuff Kheb can do
• Shows you where an application places its files - for example, sometimes the executable and shortcuts are placed in obscure locations, with Kheb you can always find them.
• Security – See for yourself if dubious applications install sneaky registry settings to auto-load, or if they leave traces behind after being uninstalled.
• Helps create a custom CAB or OEM package based on an existing CAB, even if the CAB uses setup.dll to run code during installation. Great for aspiring ROM Chefs.
• Gives you a deeper understanding of how system settings work under the hood.
• Tells you exactly where an application hides its "registration information" after you enter a valid serial number. It can help you avoid going through annoying registration schemes over and over. Note that Kheb isn’t a hacking tool – you still need to properly register first, though Kheb could be used to easily create pre-registered releases.
• Helps you learn – if you’re a software developer, studying real-life examples of registry changes will let you find interesting and useful hooks into the system that you can use in your own software.
Kheb
Data Controller
The tool prevent your data connection(GPRS) to start up.
It lists all GPRS connections, and allows you to disable them so that they won’t be used.
The tool is especially useful when going to another country then the data connection cost a lot during the roaming.
This application have the same functionality of the famous MoDaCo Nodata but with Manila touch screen interface, without nagging popups and the option to stop active data connections.
The application requires .Net 3.5 that you can download from Microsoft. or if you want only the cab file, search the net for the NETCFv35.wm.armv4i.cab file.

Sorry I'M Late
People are always in a hurry to get somewhere. A common issue is to inform someone waiting for us that we are, let’s say, a bit late and maybe reassure him that we will be there in some time. It would be great if we could send a message to that someone telling him our approximate location and an estimate time to reach the destination ( maybe along with some excuses )
Sorry I'M Late was developed to achieve this task. This application allows a user to get his aproximate location and then send it to someone else though an SMS.
Some features:
* Doesn't require GPS antenna
* Finger friendly UI thanks to SenseSDK from Steady Software
* Call history access to guess the most probable recipients
* Native SMS application used to send message to allow last minute changes
* Currently localized in English and Italian

WoL Everywhere
Software to remote start PC's over Lan or Internet
To use WoL over lan, you do not need anything else like WoL configured on your nic / BIOS and a connection to your (home-)network with your device (over W-Lan...)
If you want to use WoL over the Internet you have to do some more things:
Configure WoL on your Network Card
You have to activate WOL on your network-card! If your network-card is a newer one, you can probably set up this option at Device-Manager --> right click on your network-card --> Advanced --> Somewhere at the options there (look for WoL, Magic Packets, Remote start, ...)
At older PC's I often saw this option in system BIOS...
Sometimes I had to do both of these things to get WoL working as well...
Configure Port-Forwarding on your Router (Directed Broadcast)
You have to forward a port on your router (e.g. port 7) to your local-network-broadcast-address... (If the IP of the "WoL" - Computer is 192.168.1.10 then the broadcast-address is most likely 192.168.1.255)
Set up WoL everywhere with public ip and forwarded board
Fill in the field IP into my program with the public (outside)- ip of your router (or the DynDNS-Domain-Name) and the forwarded port into port.
Start your PC's
If you set up everything correctly, you should be able to start your PC's from wherever you want, and whenever you want

Romanization of the all the supported languages. (Beta)
Copy translation
Send translation by SMS
Google like instant translation. This feature is still in development but I am ready to release with beta version. The instant translation feature works awesome with wifi but does reasonably ok with 3g also.

Counting Sheep
Do you consume lots of caffeine, or just sleep poorly? This Counting Sheep is a exercise, where you have to drag identical white sheep over the bridge (while they are doing backflips).
The idea, presumably, is to induce boredom while occupying the mind with something simple, repetitive, and rhythmic, all of which are known to help humans sleep.
When you go to sleep with the application, be sure to plug in the charger. Application will run until the morning (then you will see how many sheep you have counted ). To exit, press the right top corner.

CobaltController
Use your Sony Playstation 3 Controller (Sixaxis/Dual Shock 3) or Nintendo Wii Remote (Wiimote) as a Bluetooth Game Controller on your Windows Phone.
The PS3 Controller works with all Windows Mobile phones.
The Wii Controller currently only works with Windows Mobile phones with a Widcomm Bluetooth Stack.
Prerequisites:
PS3 Controller
Any windows mobile phone with bluetooth.
A PS3 Controller (I don't know if non-Sony 3rd party controllers work).
A working installation of WinDS3 on a bluetooth enabled desktop computer. You don't need to purchase it, the trial version works fine for our needs. I have included instructions on how to do this but it kind of sucks and I am working on a better alternative since not everyone has a PC that WinDS3 will play nicely with. Many have reported issues while trying to install WinDS3. I cannot help in these situations but others here may be able to. If you have trouble, your best bet is to wait until I figure out a better alternative or use a Wiimote in the meantime. See below in "Attachments" for instructions.
Wii Controller
Any windows mobile phone with a Widcomm Bluetooth Stack. That means phones with the Microsoft Bluetooth Stack can't use the Wiimote yet.
A Wii Controller.
XBOX 360 Controller
Not Going To Happen
In order to get the XBOX 360 controller to work in windows you need to purchase a wireless receiver - it doesn't use bluetooth. It needs additional hardware. So if a full desktop Windows PC can't even do it without additional hardware, I seriously doubt it will ever work for our phones. Some company could come up with an xbox 360 wireless receiver for Windows Mobile, but again, very doubtful. And since I don't even have an XBOX of any kind, I know I'm not going to be motivated enough to even try.
Initial One Time Setup for PS3 Controllers:
Setting the PS3 controller's master address to your phone's bluetooth mac address:
Download and install WinDS3. WinDS3 is not freeware but the trial is only limited by stopping after 30 minutes of use at a time which is way more than sufficient for this cause. WinDS3 ONLY allows you to set your controller's master to your PC, but you want to set it to your phone and that's where sixpair.exe comes in.
Download sixpair.zip and unzip it to a directory that you can remember. The only contents are sixpair.exe.
In that same directory, create a text file containing your phone's mac address in the format XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX and name the file mac.txt
Run WinDS3 and get to the main screen of the app.
Click the bluetooth icon to start the bluetooth pairing app. Follow the instructions up until the screen displays that it successfully set your controller's mac address to your computer.
With that WinDS3 screen still displayed, run sixpair.exe (attached). If all went well you should now disconnect the PS3 controller from the USB cable (connected per instructions in WinDS3) and you are ready to start using CobaltContoller!
As long as you don't pair your controller with any other device (like your PS3) then you never have to do this again. If you do pair the controller with a another device and wish to re-pair it with your phone again, go back to step 4.
Widcomm Stack Specifics:
Turn on bluetooth and set it to discoverable. Thanks to ryotgz, skilty, and gorelshv for this information. I believe it is only required the first time you use CobaltController. Once you have successfully connected, BT does not have to be in discoverable mode any longer so you can change it back to invisible to save battery life.
Make sure that the checkbox is not checked where it says "Allow only devices listed in 'My Devices' to connect".
If you have never tried to connect the PS3 controller to your phone before (or at least not since the last hard reset or rom flash) it will fail to connect at first and you'll get a bunch of pop ups with "PLAYSTATION(R)3 Controller" shown in bold asking for the pin. Keep tapping cancel as it pops up and wait for everything to stop trying to connect. After all that, try again and it should connect just fine and should always connect right away in the future without the pin prompts. There is no pin (that I know of at least) I'm bypassing security on both the PS3 and Wii connections (even though we do know the pin for the Wiimote is the host's mac backwards.)
Microsoft Stack Specifics:
TURN OFF BLUETOOTH The MS stack does not like the PS3 controller and will NOT pair with it. I ended up writing a modified version of this stack to get around this problem, but it will conflict with the real MS stack so they can't both be on at the same time.
Your phone will reboot when you disconnect the controller.
PS3 Controller Specifics:
Press the PS button to connect and then later to disconnect
Wii Controller Specifics:
Press the red Sync button to connect. Hold down the Power button to disconnect.
Common:
All 4 LEDs should flash a few times and then only the player one LED should remain lit showing it connected.
The driver stops running after you disconnect to save battery life. Run it again to reconnect. It's in Start Menu\Programs\Games
Registry Values are stored in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cobaltikus\CobaltContro ller
Currently only 1 controller can be active at a time but I am exploring the ability to add more.
Attachments
CobaltController.vX.X.cab = Installs to \Program Files\CobaltController\ and a shortcut goes to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Games

Mute4
Mute your phone and let it restore volume automatically
Mute4 is a very simple application. When run, it allows you to set your phone to the vibrate or silent profile and also set a timeout for when you want it to restore the normal volume profile.
Going to a movie? Set Mute4 for three hours. Going to a meeting? Set Mute4 to one hour. Just need a short coffee break without the phone ringing? Set Mute4 to 15 minutes. :-)
Requirements
WM5/6/6.5
How to use
Run Mute4, then click on the Metro-style buttons to cycle through the options. The profiles available are Vibrate and Silent. The default timeouts are 15 minutes, 30 minutes, one hour, two hours, and three hours.
The "Metro style" UI was chosen for the same reason Microsoft did: it takes no time to make something look so 'basic' and I'm lazy. ;-)
How to create custom timeouts
Go to the application installation folder (\Program Files\Mute4 usually) and edit settings.ini. Under the Timeouts section, there are items called T1 through T5. The values are in minutes. You can edit those, add new lines, remove existing ones. Just remember that you can't have more than one variable name that are the same (as in, you can't have multiple "T1"). The INI reader doesn't like this. :-) So make sure you make each variable name unique. But it doesn't really matter what you call it. The only other requiment is that the times be in increasing order. If they aren't, some values might be ignored. So if you do 15, 30, 20, the cycling will stop at 30 and cycle back to 15 in the UI.
Notes
Mute4 does not leave an app (or service) running to accomplish its task, so there is no performance degradation or battery life lost with its use. It sets a system timer to wake the phone up and run Mute4's "restore" app at the time you specified by the restore timer -- it's that simple. So have no fears about its use. In fact, you can even soft reset between running Mute4 and when the timer would normally fire and it will still fire right on time.
